Building better digital futures - with sublime

Sublime is my favorite knowledge-saving tool. I had been using it for a while when I mentioned it in one of my TikTok videos, '3 Apps That Give Me Hope for the Future of the Internet.' In this video, I discussed the potential of three innovative apps, including Sublime, to shape the future of the internet. The video gained a lot of traction, and Sublime approached me for a collaboration. I then sent over a suggestion of 3 TikTok videos and an invitation to be the first guest on the IRRATIONAL TECHNOLOGY podcast.

My collaboration with Sublime was a resounding success. The TikToks I posted garnered a cumulative 675 saves, leading to a significant increase in platform sign-ups.

quaLITY OVER QUANTITY

The key to my success is creating "saveable" content rather than chasing high view counts that don't convert users. You need to minimize the steps between someone watching your video and taking action—signing up, buying a product, or visiting a venue. This applies to both mental and physical steps.

For example, when I promote Sublime, I show exactly how I use the platform and what problems it solves. This reduces friction, which means I make it as easy as possible for viewers to take action, and makes it easier for viewers to take action.Viewers who save a video are much more likely to return and use the information—like downloading your app. I boost save rates by including more depth and context than typical short-form videos while keeping content relevant and showing clear visuals of what I'm discussing. This captures attention and makes viewers want to bookmark the video for later.
